Weight Loss Motivation Tips

Losing weight is never easy, I have put together some of the best weight loss motivation tips that have helped me lose weight over the years.

Have Support

Your weight loss journey can become very smooth if you have a supportive partner or friend. That partner can be your spouse, family member or a friend. A good partner can make you achieve better results by motivating you to eat healthier and train harder.  The perfect choice would be a person whose goal is more or less the same, who wants to achieve that goal as badly as you do and someone who has a positive attitude. Benefit of a good partner is that he/she will always be there to encourage you and back you up when you think that there is nothing left in the tank.

Keep a Diary

One of the best motivations for weight loss tips is to write down your weight loss goals. The benefit of writing down your goals is that it makes you clearly define them. A clear and written down goal is much easier to achieve than a vague thought in your mind. You should write down how much weight you want to lose and the action plan you need to follow in order to lose that weight. Track your progress by keeping nutrition and training journal. Keeping a diary also motivates you by showing how much progress you have made.

Have a reward system.

It is human psychology that we put in more effort in completing a task if we know that we will get something extra in return. Reward yourself whenever you reach a weight loss milestone. You can allow yourself to have your favorite cheat meal whenever you lose 3 to 4 pounds of weight. This practice can serve as a great weight loss motivation tool.
Take twice as long to eat half as much.

When it comes down to it, there are two ways to lose weight. Eat fewer calories or burn more of them through physical activity. The best approach is a combination.

  • Start by setting realistic weight loss goals. Knowing your Body Mass Index helps.
  • Plan how you'll reduce your calories and eat nutritionally balanced foods. Plan your meals.
  • Control your portion size.
  • Eat regular meals, including breakfast. Eat fresh fruits, vegetables and fibrous foods. It is so important to put the right food and drink into your body, drink plenty of water.
  • Weigh yourself regularly.
  • Map out your physical activity. Choose activities you like and then enjoy your exercise. Make sure you do at least 30 minutes of exercise a day. An additional 30 minutes a day yoga or meditation is also very beneficial if you can find the time
  • Avoid letting little setbacks turn into big weight gains
The rest of the world lives to eat, while I eat to live.
